Sam Fender back at St James’ Park – Newcastle United fans get priority for tickets but there is a catch | OneFootball

Sam Fender is returning to St James’ Park.

Friday morning bringing the news via an email (see below) to Newcastle United fans, including myself.

Sam Fender played two sold out gigs at St James’ Park back in June 2023.

Great to see the Toon fan set to play another two gigs at his home ground.

Great as well to see that Newcastle United fans will get priority for tickets.

Though not so great to see that there is a catch…

To be a Newcastle United member you pay £37 for adult standard membership per year.

All season ticket holders are automatically NUFC members, as part of what they pay each season.

However, this pre-sale giving Newcastle United fans priority, is ONLY for those supporters who buy an enhanced Mags+ membership for £47, £10 more that the standard membership.

We all understand the need to drive as much money as possible into the football club BUT personally, I find this a bit unnecessary.

The reality is that the club are saying to season ticket holders and the vast majority of other members, that this is simply a £10 surcharge on their ticket price (on top of what season ticket holders already pay and the vast majority of members), if they want to try and make sure of Sam Fender tickets.

Wouldn’t it have been great to see Newcastle United fans get a discount to see Sam Fender and automatic first go at tickets, not a surcharge to ‘guarantee’ tickets!
