Many Rossoblù players were in action with their respective National Teams over the opening weekend of UEFA Euro 2024. In the Swiss starting XI on Saturday evening against Hungary were Remo Freuler, Dan Ndoye and Michel Aebischer who won 3-1 with a goal and assist from Aebischer and an assist from Freuler.

Riccardo Calafiori also played a full 90 for the Italy National Team who beat Albania 2-1 on Saturday 15 June. Kacper Urbanski started the Poland 1-2 Netherlands game, leaving the pitch in the 55th minute. Victor Kristiansen played 77 minutes in the 1-1 draw between Slovenia and Denmark.
