Gian Piero Gasperini is expected in Rome by Wednesday to begin a new chapter in his career.
Currently in Paris, the new Giallorossi coach will be in the capital for Gianluca Scamacca’s wedding, but in the meantime plans for the 2025/26 season are starting to take shape.
Starting from midweek, operational meetings will begin to organize the summer preseason training, with the start scheduled for around July 10, writes La Repubblica.
The first segment of the preparation will take place in Trigoria, while for the second part, scheduled for early August, Roma should return to England, to the same place chosen last summer: St. George’s Park, the sports center of the English Football Association.
For Gasperini, who has accepted the challenge of leading Roma after nine seasons at Atalanta, the new adventure also coincides with a significant personal achievement. The veteran coach currently has 599 Serie A appearances on the bench and aims to reach Nils Liedholm, stuck at 635, by the end of next season.
