Roma have reignited their pursuit of Devyne Rensch, whom they have been chasing for a while. His contract expires at the end of the season and he isn’t keen on renewing it. Ajax have been trying for about a year, Corriere dello Sport informs.

The youngster can commit to a new destination ahead of a Bosman move already, but the Giallorossi want him sooner. They have offered €5M given the situation, while the Dutch side asked to double the bid.

Roma are in advanced talks with Rensch for a contract until 2029. They intend to raise the proposal for his side, although not to the level requested by the counterparty. The fullback has strong consensus and could join soon thanks to a final nudge.

Samuel Dahl could wind up being part of the deal. Ajax were keen on him last summer, but the Serie A side won the race. He has barely played since completing a €4.3M transfer from Djurgården. He has logged 240 minutes in 5 appearances across all competitions so far.

It wouldn’t make a lot of sense to spend a fairly decent buck if they are confident they can snatch him for free. They need reinforcements, and his versatility would be a big asset but, all things considered, they have sound starters in his roles already, so they could just wait.
