RomaPress – Following an expedited negotiation, Roma have reached an agreement with Saudi club Al-Ahli for the sale of central defender Roger Ibanez.
The two sides met today to put the finishing touches on the deal, which will net the Giallorossi a fixed fee of €25 million plus €3.5 million in bonuses plus a sell-on clause should he be sold in the future.
He’s scheduled to fly to Paris later this evening with his agent Frederico Moraes to undergo his medical examinations before officially becoming a new Al-Ahli player.
Ibanez has already bid farewell to his teammates and manager Jose Mourinho—officially ending his stint in the Italian capital after three-and-a-half years. During this time, he accumulated 9 goals, 2 assists, and 149 total appearances across all competitions with the club.
