The Championship promotion scene is entering fascinating territory with a three-way tussle for the top two automatic places nicely supported by a battle for the play-off spots - and Bristol City seem to be timing their season to perfection.

Liam Manning's Robins snatched a dramatic late victory over fellow play-off contenders West Brom last night to strengthen their hand - Haydon Roberts netting in the sixth minute of added time to break the Baggies' hearts.

Now fifth in the Championship table, City have lost just one of their past 10 games in the second tier and their red-hot home form has helped propel them up the table since the turn of the year.

In fact, no team has won more league points on their own turf than the Robins in 2025 - Manning's side racking up 22 of their 30 points this year at Ashton Gate.
