Inter Milan are keen on Como midfielder Nico Paz as a target because they believe he can thrive both as a forward or as a central midfielder.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews.
It is now no secret that Inter are eyeing up a move for Nico Paz.
The 20-year-old’s form since joining Como in the summer has turned plenty of heads. But perhaps none moreso than the Nerazzurri.
Inter Vice-President Javier Zanetti personally scouted Paz in Como’s recent win over Roma.
And if Real Madrid do not exercise their buyback clause on Paz, then Inter would be among the teams likeliest to try and pluck him out of Como.
Naturally, Paz’s talent and impressive form are the basis for Inter’s interest in the Argentine.
But the Nerazzurri also feel that Paz’s particular profile and qualities would make him an ideal tactical fit for their project.
On the one hand, Paz could play as a forward. His dribbling ability in tight spaces and eye for a pass could certainly give a new dimension to the front pairing in Simone Inzaghi’s 3-5-2 system.
But on the other hand, Paz could also move deeper on the pitch.
Particularly as he gains more experience and maturity. Inter back the Argentine to look more comfortable in a central midfield role.
Therefore, Inter feel that a move for Paz would offer many possible horizons for them.
