Paris Saint-Germain had been keeping a close eye on Bayern Munich midfielder Kimmich for months and nearly signed him last summer. However, their latest attempt to bring him in fell short once again.
Last week, Bayern Munich announced that Kimmich extended his contract with the club through 2029. Despite spending a decade in Munich, the 30-year-old chose to stay rather than seek a new challenge.
“At FC Bayern I have the best environment to achieve my sporting goals,” Kimmich said. “That is what my decision was based on. For me at the moment, there is no better package of team-mates, coaching staff and club environment in order to achieve maximum success. I feel at home here and I am not finished yet.”
Kimmich reportedly turned down big-money offers from both Arsenal and PSG to remain with the Bundesliga club.

According to reports from the German press (h/t Made In Foot), Kimmich rejected more lucrative offers from Arsenal and PSG.
The Gunners were offering a salary of €25 million per season, while the Parisian club reportedly proposed €40 million per year to convince him. He will ultimately continue his career in Bavaria with a salary roughly the same as before, around €20 million per season.
Kimmich had offers from abroad but he’ll play out the remaining prime years of his career with the Bavarian side.
