According to Footmercato, Roma have agreed to send Saudi Arabia international defender Saud Abdulhamid to FC Toulouse on loan.
This is expected to be a dry one-season loan, meaning there is no option included to make it permanent at the end of the campaign.
The 26-year-old right-back only joined Roma last summer from Al-Hilal in a transfer worth €2.5m, making him the first ever Saudi player in Serie A.
He made just eight competitive appearances between Serie A and the Europa League, still managing to contribute one goal and one assist.
With the arrival of new coach Gian Piero Gasperini and the definitive switch to a three-man defence, it was considered best to send Abdulhamid out on loan to gain more experience of European football.
There had also been interest from RC Lens, who were negotiating with Roma over the transfer of Neil El Aynaoui last week, but FC Toulouse seem to have won out.
A product of the Al-Ittihad youth academy, Abdulhamid has 38 senior caps for Saudi Arabia and also represented his country in the Olympics.
