Inter Milan and Roma could reportedly consider a swap deal involving midfielders Lorenzo Pellegrini and Davide Frattesi.
This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInter1908. They report that Pellegrini’s wages would make the move difficult, but that he would welcome a transfer to Inter.
The future of midfielder Davide Frattesi at Inter Milan still looks to be up in the air.
The former Sassuolo midfielder is still not a regular starter for the Nerazzurri. There remain doubts over whether he has the full trust of his coach Simone Inzaghi.
Meanwhile, the situation of Roma captain Lorenzo Pellegrini is very much the same.
The 28-year-old has certainly had his chances at Roma this summer. But at the same time, there have been periods where he’s been frozen out of the starting eleven.
Moreover, the fact that the Giallorossi will change coaches this summer makes it even more uncertain what place Pellegrini would have in the plans in the Italian capital.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Lorenzo Pellegrini would be reluctant to leave Roma.
However, if the Italian international is to move on, then he would consider Inter to be an excellent next destination.
And in the meantime, it is hardly a secret that Roma would like to sign Davide Frattesi from Inter.
In fact, the Giallorossi had very publicly attempted to do so during the January transfer window.
Therefore, Sky reports, it is hardly out of the questions that the two midfielders’ futures could intersect. They could each go in opposite directions this summer.
However, Sky adds, there would be a long way to go for this to happen.
Moreover, Pellegrini’s high wages on his contract with Roma would present a problem for Inter.
Therefore, Sky reports, the 28-year-old could have to spread his wages out over multiple seasons if he were to join the Nerazzurri this summer.
