Inter Milan are ready to make a move in the event that Gianluigi Donnarumma sees out his contract with PSG.

This according to Italian outlet FCInterNews. They report that the Nerazzurri will not sign the goalkeeper this summer, but would be ready to do so in twelve months’ time.

By now, the situation of Gianluigi Donnarumma at Paris Saint-Germain is well-known.

The Parisians have just made a big money signing goal in the form of Lucas Chevallier from Lille.

That looks like a clear statement of intent from PSG. Particularly considering that contract extension talks between the European champions and Donnarumma have stalled.

The 26-year-old former AC Milan keeper has rejected the offer of a new deal worth €8 million net per season plus €4 million in add-ons.

Therefore, as things stand, Donnarumma is just one year away from the expiration of his contract.

Inter Ready To Make A Move If Donnarumma Sees Out PSG Contract

FCInterNews note that Inter Milan have an undeniable interest in signing Donnarumma,

The outlet observe that the Nerazzurri have met with the Italian international’s agent Enzo Raiola three times in the last few months.

These meetings have partly concerned another of Raiola’s client, Inter defender Matteo Cocchi. However, Donnarumma’s name will have come up in talks.

FCIN note that Inter have zero interest in signing Donnarumma this summer.

If PSG want to avoid another high profile player leaving on a free transfer a la Kylian Mbappe, they must cash in on Donnarumma this summer.

The Parisians would want a fee of around €20-25 million for the 26-year-old, bearing in mind his contract situation. There would be interest in the Premier League.

On the other hand, Donnarumma could decide to see out his contract with PSG. He could stay another season, fight for the starting spot with Chevallier, and then make a decision next summer.

And if Donnarumma is available on those terms, FCIN report, Inter would certainly be ready to make their move.

Inter goalkeeper Yann Sommer sees his own contract expire at the end of next June. Furthermore, he will be 37 then.

Therefore, Inter could see next summer as the perfect opportunity to sign Donnarumma.
