Inter Milan are preparing for life after Davide Frattesi, with Samuele Ricci and Nico Paz emerging as the likeliest candidates to fill his shoes.
According to Sportmediaset via FCInterNews, Simone Inzaghi’s men are ready to go to great lengths to prevent the 25-year-old from joining Roma this winter.
They’ve slapped a substantial €45 million price tag on his shoulders to fend off the Giallorossi.
However, Inter could lower their guard toward the end of the January transfer window.
With Frattesi determined to leave and Roma keen on a reunion, the Nerazzurri won’t have much wriggle room.
Therefore, they’re readying a contingency plan.
Roma’s Bryan Cristante would be a low-cost solution but Inter are reluctant to negotiate his arrival.
Indeed, they’re after more sustainable options.
Despite extending his contract at Torino, Ricci seems ready to take his career to the next step.
However, Inter would probably need to beat AC Milan to the 23-year-old’s signature.
It leaves Paz as a more attainable target, even though Real Madrid have a buyback clause.
The 20-year-old is one of Beppe Marotta’s top priorities, yet Inter won’t open talks with Como until the end of the season.
