Inter Milan and Atalanta reportedly opened talks for the transfer of Ademola Lookman yesterday.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, the clubs remain at odds over the Nigerian’s valuation.

Despite Lookman’s desire to join the Nerazzurri, Atalanta’s stance remains the same.

Indeed, La Dea would ideally sell the 27-year-old abroad and are unwilling to budge on their €50 million asking price.

On the other hand, Inter won’t offer more than €40m.

Ademola Lookman wants to join Inter at all costs.

Furthermore, he already turned down Napoli’s approach, spoiling Partenopei’s plans to hijack his move to San Siro.

However, the Nerazzurri must find an agreement with Atalanta.

Time is becoming a factor, with Cristian Chivu hoping to include the Nigerian in his pre-season squad.

Meanwhile, Atalanta won’t lower their claims, just as they did during talks for Teun Koopmeiners last summer.

Therefore, Inter would be well-advised to increase their offer. Otherwise, they may risk missing out on Lookman’s signature.
