Leverkusen consider move for Jadon Sancho

Whilst a striker is the main priority there’s set to be movement in the wide areas and the Blues have been linked with a number of names.

Maresca is believed to want five wingers in his squad next season, but there’s a chance one or two leave this summer.

Noni Madueke is said to be attracting interest, whilst it’s unclear if or when Mykhailo Mudryk will play for the club again following a positive doping test.

Exciting talent Estevao Willian will arrive after the Club World Cup, and Chelsea still need to make a final decision on the future of Sancho.

Chelsea will reportedly take a decision on Sancho at the end of the season, but The Independent have reported Bayer Leverkusen are considering a move for the 25-year-old.

The report adds Borussia Dortmund are said to have passed up on the opportunity to resign Sancho.

Sancho has been criticised for his form this season, and only has three goals and five assists in 30 Premier League appearances.

Williams and Gittens on Chelsea shortlist

Amongst Chelsea’s targets in the wides areas are Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams and Dortmund’s Jamie Gittens.

Williams has been described as a “dream” transfer target, but it’s been reported he’d demand £400,000 per week if he made the switch to the Premier League.

Gittens is seemingly more attainable and the 20-year-old is said to be keen on a switch to England, whilst Chelsea are said to be prepared to offer him a deal which would see him double his current salary.
