TalkSPORT presenter Alan Brazil has named the Chelsea player he would love Tottenham Hotspur head coach Ange Postecoglou to sign.

Tottenham and Chelsea are bitter London rivals and faced each other in the Premier League last weekend.

Spurs went 2-0 up after just 11 minutes in the London derby at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, but Chelsea then launched a comeback and won the match 4-3.

Cole Palmer was the star of the show for the Blues. The £40 million (Sky Sports) England international attacker scored two goals. Both came from the penalty spot, and one was a Panenka.

Alan Brazil says Cole Palmer perfect for Tottenham Hotspur

Former Tottenham forward and talkSPORT presenter Brazil knows that Spurs will not be able to sign Palmer, but he has noted that the 22-year-old, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a winger, would be perfect for Postecoglou’s side.

Brazil said about Palmer and Tottenham on talkSPORT (7:40am, December 12, 2024): “Talk about Palmer. What a player he is, by the way!

“I whinge about Tottenham midfield, someone with real pure class. For me, Palmer is that player.

“They are not going to get him now, but the way he carries the ball, the way he creates, the goals he scores, he is top class.”

Cole Palmer is proving Manchester City wrong

Manchester City are struggling at the moment, and you wonder the difference that Palmer could have made for Pep Guardiola’s side.

Palmer has gone from strength to strength since leaving City for Chelsea in the summer of 2023. Had the Citizens kept the England international, then he would have been able to help them now.

The 22-year-old has scored 11 goals and given six assists in 17 matches in all competitions for Chelsea so far this season.

Palmer found the back of the net 27 times and gave 15 assists in 48 competitive games for the Blues last season.

What is scary about Palmer is that he is just 22. He can only get better.
