Super agent Rafaela Pimenta, who also represents Erling Haaland, has informed El Chiringuito TV that Real Madrid are interested in Gilberto Mora, the 16-year-old sensation from Club Tijuana.

The young Mexican midfielder has been making waves across Latin America, and his name has quickly climbed onto the radar of some of Europe’s biggest clubs.

Among them, it is Los Blancos who appear most determined to keep tabs on his progress.

Mora, currently regarded as one of the finest teenage prospects in Mexico, is already the top U-18 scorer in Latin America despite operating from midfield.

Reports suggest that the club will wait until he turns 18, which is until October 2027, to send him a pre-contract offer before moving to bring him to Spain.

Another South American talent on radar

For Real Madrid, this is ambition aligns perfectly with the club’s ongoing strategy of scouting and signing the best young talents across the globe, particularly from South America.

Vinicius Jr., Rodrygo, Endrick, Federico Valverde and Franco Mastantuono are all examples of players spotted early, nurtured, and eventually integrated into the senior team with great success.

Mora, if his trajectory continues, could be the next in that line.

At the same time, Madrid will know there are risks involved. Football history is full of highly promising teenagers who never reached the heights expected of them.

Mora focused on Tijuana

For now, Mora remains focused on his development with Tijuana, where he has shown maturity beyond his years.

He has ambition, hunger, and the desire to keep improving – all qualities that will appeal to Madrid’s hierarchy.

The attraction is clear that Mora would not come at a huge transfer fee, and his talent makes him a low-risk, high-reward investment.

With the club already planning for the long-term future of its midfield, Real Madrid’s interest in Mora signals once again that the Merengues remain one step ahead in identifying the stars of tomorrow.
