It has been an extremely successful season for Real Madrid as they have already won two trophies in the form of La Liga and the Spanish Super Cup.
A third one could be on the horizon with the Merengues having made it to the finals of the UEFA Champions League where they face Borussia Dortmund on June 1.
Given the success, Los Blancos are set to reap great rewards financially as well from both domestic and European competitions.
Now, Mundo Deportivo reports that Real Madrid will be pocketing a total of €143 million from La Liga TV rights money this season.
This season, La Liga is expected to distribute around €1500 million for TV rights. Of that, 8.5% (around €127 million) is given as aid to non-professional football and other sporting disciplines.
The remainder (some €1373 million) is divided into two parts. Of the first 50%, some €750 million, the amount is split equally between all 20 La Liga clubs, with each team getting €37.5 million.
But the remaining part (around €623 million) is distributed on a percentage basis according to the final position of each team in the table. As such, the champions, Real Madrid, get 17% of the total pot.
Real Madrid, adding the fixed income plus the 17% of the remaining pot, will receive around €143 million.
