A highly-regarded up-and-coming member of the youth ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid has been called up to the club’s first-team setup once more on Saturday.

The player in question? Mario Martín.

Midfielder Martín finds himself in the midst of a week which will no doubt live long in the memory.

As much comes after the 20-year-old was introduced off the bench for his La Liga debut en route to Real Madrid’s 5-0 drubbing of Alavés on Tuesday.

Martín’s performances for Real’s Castilla outfit have long drawn widespread praise, with Carlo Ancelotti, evidently, a keen fan of his talents.

In turn, the Spanish youth international could well be afforded another opportunity to showcase his talents on the senior stage tomorrow night.

This comes amid confirmation that Martín has been included in Los Blancos’ travelling squad to face Villarreal.

Ancelotti and co. will make the trip to La Cerámica on Sunday, for their penultimate outing of the La Liga campaign.

And, with the Champions League final now just two weeks away, Martín will no doubt have his sights firmly set on securing yet more minutes with his double-chasing teammates in 24 hours’ time.
