Real Madrid star Vinícius Jr. could not hold back his tears, upon seeing teammate and fellow countryman Éder Militão grounded in visible distress during the club’s latest outing.

Militão, of course, suffered a serious injury on Saturday afternoon.

En route to Real’s 4-0 La Liga drubbing of Osasuna, the Brazilian international went to ground in the visitors’ penalty area during the first-half.

It was immediately clear that Militão’s problem was a substantial one, the 26-year-old having been heard screaming on his way to ground, before writhing in pain on the turf.

The injury has since been confirmed as an ACL tear, Militão’s 2nd in the space of just over a year.

And one Blancos star who could not help but allow his emotions to show as his teammate lay stricken on the Santiago Bernabéu grass was Vinícius Jr.
