Real Madrid star to return to starting XI for Barcelona clash | OneFootball

A leading member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid is set to be reintroduced to the club’s XI for their upcoming showdown with arch rivals Barcelona.

That’s according to Marca, who point towards Aurélien Tchouaméni as the player in question.

Frenchman Tchouaméni for his part dropped to the bench in midweek, as Real Madrid played host to Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League.

The 24-year-old had acted as a near ever-present in the engine room of Los Blancos across the early months of the term, meaning his absence on such a high-profile European night came as a surprise.

Those of a Real persuasion eager to see Tchouaméni back in from the off as soon as possible, though, need not fret.

This comes amid confirmation on the part of the aforementioned Marca that:

‘Tchouaméni will return to the starting eleven against Barcelona, playing as a central midfielder alongside Federico Valverde.’
