Real Madrid star to miss upcoming RB Salzburg clash | OneFootball

A headline member of the attacking ranks at La Liga heavyweights Real Madrid is expected to miss out once more, when his teammates lock horns with RB Salzburg this week.

That’s according to Marca, who point towards Kylian Mbappé as the player in question.

Frontman Mbappé has of course not played a minute of Real Madrid’s campaign at the FIFA Club World Cup to date.

This comes after the Frenchman was struck down by a bout of illness.

As much proved serious enough to see Mbappé admitted to a hospital in the USA, confirming the extent of his fever.

And if the latest word stemming from the media on Tuesday is anything to go by, then the 26-year-old, evidently, still remains some way off full fitness.

As per a report from Marca, after Mbappé was forced to sit out against both Al-Hilal and Pachuca, he is not expected to be given the green light in time to feature against RB Salzburg this coming Friday, either.

Mbappé, in turn, will miss the entirety of Real Madrid’s Club World Cup group stage campaign.
