Carlo Ancelotti finds himself under immense pressure at Real Madrid following back-to-back heavy defeats at the hands of FC Barcelona and AC Milan – both coming at the Santiago Bernabeu.
There are a lot of things that are not clicking for the reigning champions of Spain and Europe this season, raising question marks over Ancelotti and his future at the club.
Earlier today, reports suggested that the Italian could face the axe if results do not improve in the weeks to come.
However, now, MARCA reports that despite things not going their way of late, Real Madrid continue to trust and support Carlo Ancelotti.
There is some concern about the performances but at the same time, those within the club believe that the Italian tactician is the best suited to turn the situation around.
There have been conversations held between the veteran manager and the club hierarchy including president Florentino Perez in which calmness has been transmitted to him.
However, there is a sense of warning associated with it as Real Madrid want to see a strong reaction and improvement in performances in the matches to come.

Furthermore, the report states that if Real Madrid are forced to part ways with Ancelotti midway through the season, they could turn to club legends Raul Gonzalez or Santiago Solari as emergency replacements for the Italian.
Raul has been in charge of the Castilla team for a number of years now and has done some solid work with the young talent at the club.
Meanwhile, Solari, who had a forgettable tenure as the Merengues’ first-team manager in 2018/19, currently serves as the club’s Director of Professional Football, and could be given the reins temporarily if Ancelotti is axed.
The main target to replace Ancelotti in the long run remains Xabi Alonso of Bayer Leverkusen.
