La Liga giants Real Madrid have made initial contact with the entourage of Bayer Leverkusen star Jonathan Tah, regarding a potential move to the club.
That’s according to Diario AS, who have on Thursday provided an insight into the situation.
The name of defender Tah, it is understood, has emerged front and centre on the agenda in Spain’s capital over the course of recent days.
Amid an ongoing search for reinforcements at centre-back following the latest long-term injury suffered by Éder Militão, the German international has been earmarked as a leading target.
Tah is a man in demand with a view to next season, ahead of the expiration of his terms at the BayArena.
Clubs from the Premier League have joined Bayern Munich and Barcelona in the bidding over recent weeks, keen to tie up a pre-contract agreement with the 28-year-old following the turn of the year.
In an effort to get a leg up on the competition, Florentino Pérez and his team have therefore already touched base with Tah’s representatives, with AS concluding:
‘Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are the main rivals for Tah’s signing next summer.’
