Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe is currently facing a difficult period in his career. The French star, who is widely regarded as one of the best in the world, has been struggling with his form, both on and off the field.

His troubles are compounded by ongoing issues with his previous club, PSG, and personal matters that are affecting his performances. These challenges have clearly impacted his ability to perform at his usual high standards.

While Mbappe has managed to score six goals in La Liga this season, a closer look reveals that three of those goals came from penalties, highlighting that he hasn’t been as prolific from open play.

His last goal came in mid-October against Celta Vigo, and since then, he has failed to find the back of the net, despite a series of attempts.

Mbappe is failing

In the Champions League, Mbappe’s struggles have been even more apparent. Despite taking eight shots in a recent match against Milan, he was unable to score, with some of his efforts either blocked or off-target.

His overall record in the competition this season is concerning. Out of 20 shots taken, only one has resulted in a goal.

In comparison, Manchester City’s Erling Haaland has attempted 22 shots and scored three goals. The Frenchman’s numbers include nine shots on target, five off target, and six that were blocked by defenders or the goalkeeper.

When you compare his current form to his previous seasons, particularly his time at PSG, it’s clear that Mbappe is struggling.

In La Liga, his six goals have come from a total of 47 shots, giving him a success rate of just 12.8%. This marks the lowest goal conversion rate of his career so far, showing just how far he has fallen from the clinical forward he once was.

This period of poor form has left many questioning what has caused the dip in Mbappe’s performance.

With personal issues, struggles at PSG, and the pressure of playing for a new club like Real Madrid, it seems there are multiple factors at play. However, with his talent and determination, there is hope that Mbappe can turn things around and regain his best form.
