Real Madrid dressing room ‘calm’ amid troubling situation

Real Madrid’s start to the season was far from perfect but the ship has relatively stabilised in recent months.

Los Blancos are indeed still far from their best and even dropped points in their most recent performance against Rayo Vallecano. However, one must evaluate their situation only after taking into account factors like their injury list and hectic schedule.

After a much-needed win over Atalanta, Los Blancos fell short last night at Estadio de Vallecas and have again come under the spotlight for dropping points.

Dressing room are confident

As relayed by Jorge Picon (h/t RM4Arab) in a recent update, the Real Madrid dressing room continues to believe and does not lose their nerve despite the team’s latest setback.

Carlo Ancelotti and his men have faced such situations several times before and have always come back stronger rather than sinking. They have always ensured to take a step forward after a setback and will look to do so again.

Despite the noise around them and their relatively lowered level, the team feels more alive than the image being projected of them. Injuries, adaptation of new players, and the schedule led to a slow start but things are now falling into place.

Moreover, this is not the first time Ancelotti is playing with fire and has his future in doubt.

There were already doubts about his future after the defeats to Liverpool and AC Milan in the UEFA Champions League but the club gave him another chance through the love and respect they have for him.

The next two matches will be decisive in the future of the team and what they can achieve this season, for the course is seen to still be correctable.

The Intercontinental Cup final that Los Blancos play midweek has a lot riding on it, for it can make or break the team’s mentality. Winning will bring silverware and confidence but a loss to a non-European team may well get embarrassing.

Ancelotti’s goal earlier this year was to reach Christmas ‘alive’ and the Intercontinental Cup final will decide it to a large extent.
