According to a recent report by Fichajes, Ruben Neves has become a serious candidate for Real Madrid as the club looks to reinforce its midfield this summer.
With the Spanish giants seeking a player who brings experience, tactical intelligence, and leadership, the outlet suggests that Neves ticks all the right boxes and has now emerged as one of the top names on their radar.
The need for reinforcements in midfield has grown urgent at Madrid. With Luka Modric also leaving, the club is keen on bringing in a midfielder who can make an immediate impact.
Initially, Madrid had shown strong interest in Martin Zubimendi, but with the Real Sociedad star now on his way to Arsenal, the club has shifted its focus, and Neves has come into sharp view.
Neves moved to Al Hilal in 2023 after six highly successful seasons in the Premier League with Wolverhampton Wanderers. Despite leaving European football, he has continued to perform at a high level.

His vision, range of passing, and long-distance shooting have made him a key figure in the Saudi Pro League, and his consistent performances haven’t gone unnoticed.
What makes the deal potentially feasible is Neves’ interest in returning to Europe. Sources close to the Portuguese midfielder suggest he would welcome a move to Real Madrid, as he is still just 28 years of age.
While negotiating with a Saudi club could be financially complex, the player’s willingness may help smoothen the talks.
Real Madrid are known for acting decisively once a target is identified. With Neves, the groundwork is already being laid, and things could move quickly if an opening is created in negotiations.
At present, no official offer has been made, but there is potential interest. With the right conditions and the player’s green light, Neves could soon find himself back in Europe, wearing the iconic white shirt of Real Madrid.
