Real Madrid, Barcelona & Atlético stars included in Champions League Team of the Week | OneFootball

Leading performers from Spanish football’s three biggest clubs have been afforded places in the latest Champions League Team of the Week.

All of Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atlético Madrid were of course back in action on the continent on Wednesday night.

As per of the final round of fixtures in the newly-formatted league phase in the Champions League, the trio faced off with Stade Brestois, Atalanta and RB Salzburg respectively.

And, as alluded to above, a day on the efforts of one player from each club have been recognised by UEFA.

Beginning with Real Madrid, Thibaut Courtois takes his place between the posts in the latest Champions League Team of the Week.

Turning attentions to Barcelona, and Ronald Araújo’s goalscoring endeavours against Atalanta earn the Uruguayan a spot at the heart of defence.

And lastly, up top, Atlético standout Antoine Griezmann is rewarded for his brace against Salzburg with a place in the XI.
