In a recent report, Fichajes claimed that Real Madrid are eyeing a move for Sevilla defender Loic Bade this summer. It has been stated that Los Blancos have set their sights on the French centre-back in this transfer period.
Bade enjoyed a decent run of form at the Andalusian club in the previous campaign after he put in a string of impressive displays at the centre of their backline. The French talent was involved in 33 matches for Sevilla last season, scoring one goal and securing one assist across various competitions.
The 25-year-old was a solid presence when defending inside his half as he made 47 tackles, 22 blocks and 29 interceptions in La Liga. He was even tidy when distributing possession from the back, based on his pass success rate of 85.7% in the Spanish top tier (stats via fbref.com).
Bade’s current contract at the Spanish club will run out in the summer of 2029. Therefore, it won’t be easy for Real Madrid to snap him up on the cheap in this transfer window.

Bade is a good tackler of the ball and can scan the danger well to earn the ball back for his team inside his half. He usually clears the danger when the opposition are on the offensive and can even make a few important blocks on the defensive end of the field.
The French talent excels at playing his way out from the back. Standing at 1.91m, Bade can even use his robust frame to dominate the opposition attackers in the air. He has got a wealth of experience in La Liga and won’t take much time to adjust to life at the Madrid club.
Bade would bring more bite and steel to Real Madrid head coach Xabi Alonso’s defence. He has what it takes to compete for a regular starting spot at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium next season.
At 25, Bade has his best years ahead of him which makes him a good choice for Los Blancos to consider in this transfer window. Therefore, Alonso should focus on going all out to get a deal over the line for him as he might help them compete across all fronts in the coming years.
