Real Madrid and Brazil have received positive injury news about Endrick after the teenage sensation was stretchered off while playing in the Copa Libertadores.

The 17-year-old, who will join the 14-time Champions League winners in July in a deal worth €60m, injured his thigh during Palmeiras' 2-1 win over Independiente del Valle and was unable to leave the field of his own accord.

The Athletic report that Endrick underwent tests on Thursday to determine the severity of his injury, which luckily revealed only bruising to his right thigh.

Endrick is therefore expected to return to action before this summer's Copa America - a competition he is expected to feature prominently at just months after a record-breaking showing for Brazil against England at Wembley.

With four international caps already under his belt, Endrick saw off competition from the likes of Richarlison, Gabriel Jesus and Matheus Cunha to earn a place in Brazil's 23-player party, which includes mouthwatering forward options such as Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo, Gabriel Martinelli and Savio, who will join Manchester City this summer.

Real Madrid fans will be paying particularly close attention to how Endrick gets on, with his long-awaited move to the Santiago Bernabeu edging ever closer. A deal was agreed with Palmeiras way back in December 2022 - comprising of €35m up front and €25m in additional payments - but regulations prevent players from leaving Brazil for Europe until they turn 18 years old.

Vinicius and Rodrygo are among the star-studded teammates waiting to play with Endrick in Madrid, alongside Jude Bellingham and Eduardo Camavinga, who are both regarded as elite players in their position at the age of 20 and 21 respectively.

Kylian Mbappe is also expected to be added to the mix - his departure from Paris Saint-Germain has been confirmed ahead and it's now seemingly a matter of time before Madrid announce the 25-year-old global superstar as a new arrival.
