Real Madrid will get their 2025/26 La Liga season underway on Tuesday night when they host CA Osasuna at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The Merengues have had a shorter pre-season than other teams in Spain thanks to their semi-final run at the FIFA Club World Cup in the summer.
Preparations have been underway for the past couple of weeks, with Real Madrid playing a training match against Leganes and winning before beating Austrian side WSG Tirol in a friendly.
Now, the stage is set for Xabi Alonso to make his managerial debut in La Liga at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Leading up to the match, journalist Rodra of ESPN reports that Real Madrid academy gem Thiago Pitarch is training with the first team and is all set to be called up for the game against Osasuna.

Pitarch, 18, started the pre-season with the Castilla squad under Alvaro Arbeloa, but was soon called up by Alonso after showing great promise.
The teenage midfielder scored in the training match against Leganes and looked good in the minutes he had against WSG Tirol as well.
Given the impression he has made, the La Fabrica wonderkid is expected to continue in the first-team dynamics for now.
As such, Pitarch was not called up by Arbeloa for Castilla’s game this past weekend and he is now training with the senior players, set to be named in the squad for the season-opener vs Osasuna.
If things go well during the match, there may even be an opportunity for Pitarch to make his official first-team debut at the Santiago Bernabeu, days after signing his new contract with the club.
