The Hoops have tied down an important member of Julien Stephan's side.
QPR defender Liam Morrison has inked a new contract to extend his stay at Loftus Road.
The R's have endured a frustrating start to the 2025/26 campaign.
A strong summer of transfer business hasn't yet equated into results on the pitch, with just one win from their opening four Championship games as we head into the September international break.
One player who has been continuing his upward trajectory since signing for QPR from Bayern Munich last summer is Liam Morrison, and those performances have now seen him rewarded with a new long-term deal in West London.
Announced via the club's official website on Tuesday morning, Morrison has signed a new deal with QPR.
The 22-year-old Scottish youth international looks to have all the potential to develop into a top-class central defender of the future, and has started all four of the R's Championship games so far this season.
Speaking on his new deal, the centre-back said: "I've absolutely loved my time so far.
“It's been brilliant from the first minute I came through the door. I just can't thank everyone enough; the fans, staff, everyone in the building - they have all made me feel really welcome, so it's time to repay everyone and push on.
"I know I can do a lot better than what I've done. I'm just focused on progressing and getting this team as far up the table as possible. Last season was my first full season in the Championship so I was getting used to it. Now I need to kick on and prove to everyone what I can do.
"There's a lot of games in the Championship and every single one is different, but they are all tough, it's never easy.
"I think it's a very exciting team," he said regarding the QPR side he finds himself a key part of this season.
"There's a lot of good players and we've gelled quite quickly. Now we need to improve on last year and give the fans a better season. Personally, I want to play as many games in the Championship as possible this season - and I need to start scoring some more goals as well!
"Ultimately, I want to get QPR to the Premier League one day. We just need to keep building and building."
Responding to QPR's announcement of Morrison's new contract via their official X account, R's supporters are in unison regarding the feeling that the central defender has earned his new deal.
"Easy to forget he’s only 22 with how he’s performed for us so far! A high ceiling definitely," one fan wrote.
"Well deserved still so young as well," said another.
"Amazing work yet again to secure our best players and assets on long deals," wrote another very happy R's fan.
Morrison is certainly a player that should he keep developing at this current rate, could bag QPR a very healthy payday in the future, as well as potentially playing a leading role in helping the club establish themselves as genuine promotion contenders again under Julien Stephan.
