Pundit says Chelsea player has “done nothing, absolutely zero” so far this season

One pundit has claimed that a Chelsea player this season has so far done absolutely nothing, suggesting he’s been very poor.

The Blues have a huge squad this season and a big competition for starting places. It’s easy to forget that they not only have a big squad at Cobham every week, there are also a lot of players out on loan this season.

EXCLUSIVE! Chelsea now encouraged by progress of player who seemed a dead set to be sold!

Some Chelsea fans will be forgiven if they even forgot that players like Raheem Sterling are still registered as Chelsea players.

His odd move to Arsenal in the summer was only a loan move, and he may well be back at the club in the summer if Arsenal decide they do not want to sign him. And at this moment in time, he is doing nothing to make them want to sign him on a permanent deal.

I was very surprised when I saw that Mikel Arteta even wanted to sign Sterling, because as a Chelsea fan, I knew his best days were well behind him and he really doesn’t offer too much these days.

Nicol says Sterling has done nothing

Sterling has not made an impact at Arsenal

ESPN pundit Steve Nicol has not been impressed with Sterling at all so far in an Arsenal shirt, and believes he’s done nothing to stake a claim.

In words cited on X, Nicol said on Sterling at Arsenal:

“Let’s be honest, what has he done? He’s done zero. At the very least, come on and give Martinelli and Saka on the other side a break. He’s done nothing, absolutely zero.”

I think Chelsea are once again going to have a big task on their hands to try and sell Sterling come the summer of 2025 as I see a real lack of suitors, especially with his high wages. It might be time for him to jump ship over to Saudi and earn his last big pay packet.
