The powers that be at Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain are ready to deal a considerable blow to their counterparts at Real Madrid.

That’s if the latest word stemming from the French media is anything to go by.

As per a report from transfer insider Santi Aouna, adding to similar claims over the course of the last 24 hours, PSG are primed to go all out to clinch the signature of Leny Yoro.

Defender Yoro, for his part, is known to be a leading target on the part of the aforementioned Real Madrid, who consider the youngster to be one of European football’s next great stoppers.

Earmarked as the ideal addition for present and future alike, the Blancos brass have long been in discussions with the entourage of the 18-year-old.

And yet, recent days have seen a summer deal to send Yoro to Spain’s capital cast into serious doubt.

This comes with Lille continuing to demand €60 million for their crown jewel, a sum which Real Madrid deem as excessive, when taking into account the fact that the youngster’s contract terms are due to expire in 12 months’ time.

It will therefore no doubt mark a major source of concern for Florentino Pérez and co. to hear that their main competitors in the Yoro sweepstakes are prepared to meet Lille’s asking price.

As per the aforementioned Santi Aouna:

‘Luis Campos will meet the Yoro clan in the coming days. PSG are the most insistent club and are ready to align with Lille’s financial demands. Discussions will now intensify.’
