PSG interest in Chelsea midfielder ‘wide of the mark’ | OneFootball

Paris Saint-Germain are not in talks to sign Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez despite contrasting reports this week.

Spanish outlet Fichajes had reported that PSG boss Luis Enrique has identified Fernandez as a player to improve his team’s midfield options.

The report claimed that the European champions were preparing an offer worth up to €150m (£129m) for the Argentina international.

However, Fabrizio Romano has rubbished the rumours and has said there has been no contact between PSG and Chelsea.

Fernandez is considered a key part of Enzo Maresca’s plans for the upcoming campaign and there is ‘zero chances’ for him to leave Stamford Bridge.

The 24-year-old scored nine goals in 53 appearances last season, as Chelsea secured Champions League qualification alongside Conference League and Club World Cup success.

He was named in the Team of the Tournament for the latter triumph, as Chelsea beat PSG in the final to be crowned world champions.
