FC Barcelona had a crucial game against Rayo Vallecano just recently in La Liga. Ultimately, Hansi Flick’s side ended the game with a 1-0 victory and it was a massive result for them. Despite it being a rather tough fixture, Barcelona managed to pull through and capitalize on the opportunity presented to them.
With that win, Barça have managed to return to the top of the La Liga table. A big moment for the team, considering just how unlikely this situation seemed to be not too long ago. However, in just three games, Barcelona have overturned a seven point deficit to take the top spot from Real Madrid.
Now, in the first recovery session after the game, it appears that the mood reflects the achievement as well. The entire team was there to participate in the recovery session, and some newer faces could be seen there as well.
As highlighted by SPORT, Hansi Flick had called up 17-year-old Juvenil talent Xavi Espart to the first team training as well. The youngster is a talented midfielder, and this was undoubtedly an opportunity that he will cherish for a very long time.
Primarily highlighted as a midfielder with more defensive capabilities, Espart seems to have impressed the coaches enough to earn his recent participation with the first team. Fortunately for him, the doors to the first team squad are never closed for emerging young talents and Hansi Flick is always supportive of such players.
Interestingly, this is not the first time that Hansi Flick has called up the youngster to take part in training with the first team. It has happened previously as well and this just goes on to show that the German coach must truly see something special in the young Barcelona talent.
However, while a debut for the Barcelona first team may still take a long time, it is a promising early sign. As for the first team regulars, their next challenge will come in the form of UD Las Palmas as they will now look to retain their top spot in La Liga.
