Leeds United Women return to the Bannister Prentice Stadium this Sunday with a FA WNL Division North clash against Cheadle Town.
Following on from an opening day draw against Chorley, and last week’s victory away at Chester-le-Street, the Whites will be seeking to extend their unbeaten run and achieve their second win of the season.
An early-on hooked finish from Alice Hughes and 86th minute penalty from Kath Smith meant Leeds returned from the North East with all three points against Chester-le-Street, and propelled to third in the table after two league games.
Cheadle currently sit one place above the Whites, having won two out of two in the league, defeating Blackburn Rovers 2-0 on opening day and earning a 91st minute win against Huddersfield last weekend.
In the matchups last season, Leeds were victorious 3-2 in the away leg thanks to a brace from Kath Smith and goal from Amy Woodruff, but fell to defeat at home 2-1 after Woodruff levelled in the first half.
Action from the Bannister Prentice Stadium gets underway at 2pm.

The view from inside the camp:
Smith spoke before the game, saying: “We have made a really promising start. We know that Cheadle will be really hard to break down but what is in our favour is that we managed to put four goals past them last season.
“We are going in to the game positive but we know it’ll be tough."
