Pompey did very well last year after they got promoted to the Championship, as they comfortably managed to stay above the dotted line, making Fratton Park a fortress.

The club hierarchy are doing their bit to back their promising manager John Mousinho, as another Australian in the shape of Adrian Segecic is set to join them.

Portsmouth, though, are not ready to slow down yet, as Pompey have shown interest in a young attacker.

According to Italian broadcaster Sky Italia, Brescia’s 19-year-old versatile attacker, Nuamah, is a player they are keen on.

However, they are not alone in the Italian’s chase; Eredivisie outfit AZ Alkmaar are also showing interest in the teenager.

The Italy youth international is expected to leave the Italian outfit this summer and he has attracted interest from several clubs.

The Brescia-born star is primarily a left-winger, but his versatility allows him to play almost anywhere across the frontline.

Nuamah has broken through Brescia’s youth system and has 33 senior Le Rondinelle appearances to his name.

He was mostly a bit-part player in Bresica’s side in the 2024-25 season, making 24 appearances and scoring two goals in the process.

Now all eyes will be on Pompey and Kaaskoppen to see if they will make an offer for the 2005-born winger in the upcoming weeks.

It remains to be seen how much Brescia demand for Nuamah, who has a contract valid until the summer of 2028.
