Championship outfit Portsmouth are exploring the possibility of signing West Ham United target and Celtic star Daniel Cummings, according to Sky Sports News.
The 18-year-old centre forward came through the Celtic academy system and has been a standout performer for their development side.
Cummings has yet to make a senior appearance for Celtic and his contract is set to expire at the end of this season.
He has garnered interest from the Premier League, as West Ham and Brighton & Hove Albion are among the Celtic teenager’s admirers.
It has been suggested that West Ham are keeping a close eye on Cummings’ situation at Celtic.
Portsmouth have joined the race to rival West Ham for the centre forward’s signature, as they are keen on him.
Pompey are considering the option to sign Cummings in the summer by agreeing a pre-contract with him.
Celtic have yet to offer him a new contract and John Mousinho’s side want to fast-track him to the first-team squad by signing him.
West Ham might have to act fast if they want to sign the Celtic youngster as they might lose Cummings to Portsmouth.
