Arsenal were dealt a huge injury scare in their Premier League game against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday evening after Bukayo Saka was unable to complete the match.
The England international forward limped off in the 81st minute, with Gabriel Jesus replacing him, and the Gunners will be praying he has not suffered a serious injury.
Saka has often been on the receiving end of harsh tackles from the opposition, and it was not different against Chelsea for the Arsenal star.
Luckily for the North Londoners, he has often always managed to get back on his feet shortly after several injury scares, and the Three Lions could look to give him a deserved and much-needed rest during the international break.
Arsenal only recently saw Martin Odegaard return from an injury that kept him out of action for almost two months, while Declan Rice played through the pain barrier against Chelsea having suffered a broken toe last week.
The last thing the Gunners want right now is to lose such a key player like Saka to a long-term injury, and manager Mikel Arteta and the fans will be praying that the result of the scan later this week will be good news.
Arsenal return to action on November 23 when they host Nottingham Forest in the Premier League before visiting Sporting CP three days later in the Champions League, and they need all their top players available heading into the busy festive period and January.
They are now winless in their last four Premier League games after drawing 1-1 with the Blues, and their form needs to improve significantly going forward after finding themselves nine points behind league leaders Liverpool after 11 games.
