Philippe Diallo has won re-election as President of the French Football Federation (FFF) following a vote held in Paris.
Diallo initially replaced Noël Le Graët, who stood aside amid investigations into his conduct back in January 2023. Having taken interim charge, Diallo was then elected to complete Le Graët’s term in office back in June 2023. Heading into the vote, Diallo was the marginal favourite to continue in his role.
In competition with Pierre Samsonoff, the vote took place electronically on Tuesday and Wednesday with the result announced at midday on Saturday. Diallo won the vote with a 55.34% share of the vote. The vote was comprised of votes from amateur clubs, district leagues, and professional clubs, all of whom had an equal say in the election (33% of the vote each).
The result means that Diallo now has a four-year term and will serve as President of the FFF until December 2028.
