The results are in from the PFA Player of the Year awards for the 2023/24 season. Here is who took home the trophies!


Manchester City’s homegrown hero Phil Foden has been named the PFA Player of the Year.

Foden took on a starring role as Pep Guardiola’s side claimed their fourth Premier League on the spin last season.

The playmaker notched 19 goals and eight assists as the title stayed at the Etihad Stadium for another 12 months.

He succeeds partner in crime Erling Haaland, who was the previous year’s winner of the top honour.

Elsewhere, Foden’s one-time City teammate Cole Palmer was crowned the Young Player of the Year.

Palmer enjoyed a breakout season at Chelsea after joining from Manchester City last summer, with 25 goals in 45 outings.

The England international was named the Londoners’ Player of the Season in recognition of his sterling efforts last term.

He went on to feature for Gareth Southgate’s side as they reached the EURO 2024 final, losing to Spain in this summer’s showpiece.

Meanwhile, Manchester City star Bunny Shaw scooped the Women’s Player of the Year honour.

The Jamaica forward racked up 22 goals in 25 outings for Gareth Taylor’s side as they narrowly missed out on the WSL title.

She claimed the accolade after previously being named the Football Writers’ Association and women’s top flight Player of the Year.

Elsewhere, Grace Clinton took home the PFA Young Women’s Player of the Year after impressing on loan with Tottenham Hotspur.

The Manchester United midfielder produced an impressive five goals in 27 appearances for Robert Vilahamn’s side last term.

Her performances were rewarded with a senior international debut for the Lionesses in February.
