Paul Pogba (32) is set to continue his career in Ligue 1, with the former Juventus midfielder expected in Monaco this week ahead of a free transfer to Adi Hütter’s side, according to RMC Sport journalist Fabrice Hawkins. The Frenchman could arrive at the club’s La Turbie training centre as early as Tuesday.
Out of contract since mutually terminating his deal with Juventus in November 2024, Pogba has been without a club while serving a four-year doping ban handed down earlier this year. The midfielder, who has always maintained his innocence and is appealing the suspension to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), remains eligible to train with a team during the process.
Monaco appear to have made a compelling case. The 2018 World Cup winner is said to be convinced by the Principality club’s sporting project and ambition. RMC Sport reported that Pogba previously visited Monaco’s facilities on 6th June, holding talks with key decision-makers at the club. Foot Mercato and Le Parisien reported last night that Pogba had reached an agreement to join Monaco on a two-year deal.GFFN | George Boxall
