Following his side's defeat to West Ham at the weekend, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has defiantly came out swinging against suggestions that the title race is over.

"Over my dead body! If I didn't believe [in my heart that we could win] then I'll go home," he insisted.

"Mathematically it is possible. You're there and have to play every game. Three days ago we could have closed the gap and then you're one-and-a-half games away.

"It doesn't matter. We have to continue. This is the difficulty. It's harder than three days ago but if you want to win the Premier League, in the circumstances that we have, you have to do something special and something nobody else has done."

Despite concern was teenage standout Ethan Nwaneri was substituted in the loss to West Ham, Arteta also revealed there is no cause for concern.

"He was just cramping. It was some fatigue," he added. "Obviously his load has been very different than what he is used to in recent weeks but he's fine."
