Ousmane Dembélé’s (27) form in 2025 has, for the first time in his career, put him in the conversation regarding the Ballon d’Or. This season, the Frenchman has 32 goals and 10 assists in 41 games in all competitions and 24 of those goals have come in 2025 alone.
Paris Saint-Germain’s strong collective form also bolsters Dembélé’s chances of winning the award. Les Parisiens are strong favourites to progress to the semi-final of the Champions League – and one of the favourites to go on and win the whole thing – whilst the Ligue 1 title has already been secured.
However, Dembélé said that he is focused on securing more trophies with PSG this season rather than seeking individual honours. “Winning the Champions League and the Ballon d’Or? There is still a long way to go to winning the Champions League,” began the Frenchman in a press conference attended by Get French Football News.
He added, “But what motivates me are collective titles, giving this club its first Champions League. We will go step by step.” PSG hold a 3-1 lead over Aston Villa heading into the second leg of their quarter-final tie at Villa Park.
