Aston Villa will be aiming for another landmark moment when they take on Crystal Palace in Saturday's FA Cup semi-final.

But while Unai Emery's side are dreaming of a Wembley return if they can overcome their Premier League counterparts, they already have form with familiar foes.

It was 15 years ago that the Villans claimed the spoils in the Second City Derby with a 1-0 win over neighbours Birmingham City courtesy of a late James Milner penalty.

The midfielder dispatched from the spot after Roger Johnson had brought down Gabby Agbonlahor to hand the hosts a landmark victory over the Blues.

It was the 100th league meeting between the clubs in the top flight and marked Villa's sixth win in a row against the men from St Andrew's, whose manager Alex McLeish actually ended up crossing the city just 14 months later.

Coincidentally, Martin O'Neill's side reached the FA Cup semi-final in that season, too - will they be able to go one better in London this weekend?
