Italian giants Milan are one of the most storied football clubs around.
Despite their turbulent 2024/25 campaign, the 19-time Serie A champion and multiple European Cup/Champions League winners have boasted a bevy of star power across the club's illustrious history.
And if you ever needed any confirmation regarding just how big the club is, their Scudetto-confirming result on this day during the 1995/96 season offers up plenty of evidence.
Led by iconic managerial figure Fabio Capello, the Rossoneri dispatched Fiorentina by a 3-1 scoreline at San Siro thanks to goals from Dejan Savićević, Roberto Baggio, and Marco Simone, while big names such as George Weah, Roberto Donadoni, and Marcel Desailly all turned supplier to rule out a Rui Costa opener.
In a meeting that would also feature Paolo Maldini, Franco Baresi, Alessandro Costacurta, Demetrio Albertini, and Christian Panucci, Capello's side would go on to taste defeat just three times come season's end while also sporting the best defense in the Italian top flight.
What Milan supporters would do for a side like that today.
