Manchester City colleagues of ruled-out forward talent Oscar Bobb have already been made aware of an initial expected return date for the Norwegian, according to reports.

The 21-year-old returned to England following Manchester City’s four-game pre-season tour of the United States in high hopes of a true breakout season in Pep Guardiola’s first-team plans, especially with openings in the attacking formation.

With three assists and two goals during the pre-season tour Stateside, and a start in the FA Community Shield clash with Manchester United at Wembley Stadium, the expectation was that Bobb would earn a start in the Premier League bow against Chelsea.

However, the youngster would sustain a freak accident in training leading to a fracture in a bone in his leg, forcing surgery and further assessment in Barcelona in the days that followed, with an initial rehabilitation period of four months, according to his manager.

That timeframe may now have altered slightly, with a new report pointing towards conversations that have been held by Bobb with his closest teammates regarding a potential return date to Manchester City action.

According to the information of Manchester City insider ‘Tolmie’s Hairdoo’ on X, Norway international winger Oscar Bobb is already ‘telling colleagues’ that he expects to be back in early December.

A return in early December would put Oscar Bobb in line for involvement in mammoth fixtures for the club, including Premier League meetings with Manchester United at the Etihad Stadium, and Aston Villa in Birmingham.

For the time being, Pep Guardiola will revert to his existing wide options in attack, handing greater opportunities to the likes of new summer signing Savinho, Jeremy Doku, and Bernardo Silva on the right of a front-three.

Savinho is expected to be in line for further involvement against Ipswich Town in the Premier League this weekend, with the Brazilian withdrawn at half-time of his top-flight debut at Stamford Bridge through a ‘disturbance’ in his knee.

Having returned to training this week as normal, there is understood to be no further concern surrounding the issue, with his withdrawal from action concluded as precautionary.
