MIAMI – The 2025/26 Concacaf W Champions Cup continues with reigning NWSL champion Orlando Pride making its tournament debut hosting Liga Deportiva Alajuelense in Group A on Tuesday at Inter&Co Stadium in Orlando, Florida, USA.

Orlando Pride qualified by winning the NWSL Shield, as leaders of the regular season, which the club later complemented with the NWSL Championship for the U.S. league’s first double, bringing one of the strongest squads to the competition.

The Pride features some of the top names in the region, from the Legendary Brazilian in team captain Marta to the club’s newest signing in Mexican star Lizbeth Jacqueline Ovalle, who recently joined from Tigres Femenil as the most expensive transfer in the history of women’s football.

LD Alajuelense will play its second Group Stage match after kicking off its campaign with a scoreless draw against Club América Femenil. Goalkeeper Noelia Bermúdez was key for this achievement, keeping her sheet clean with nine saves against a powerful offensive line.
