Later than planned, our ADMIRAL Bundesliga 6th Matchday clash against SK Austria Klagenfurt is ahead this Saturday. The extreme rain in Austria back in September put paid to our attempt to host the match when scheduled, and our winter break has been delayed by a week as a result.
We want to finish 2024 on a successful note on Saturday. A win could potentially see us move into fourth over the winter break and would see us keep the top three within sight.
Our opponents have struggled since the November international break. A 0-7 thumping against SK Sturm Graz was followed by a 0-3 defeat to WSG Tirol and 1-2 loss against FC Blau-Weiß Linz. Peter Pacult's side are still hanging onto tenth in the table with 16 points thanks to their good start to the season.
It is our first meeting of the season with Klagenfurt, who gave us four intense battles last season having made the championship group. We are determined to get a win in front of our own fans this time! The most recent performances of Nicolas Capaldo & Co certainly make us optimistic.

It is our aim, of course, to take three points in this final match of the season. We want to end the first half of the season with a win and close the gap to the top. We will build on the matches against Hartberg and Rapid for that and show the same kind of pressing we did then against Klagenfurt. We will battle hard for the three points.

We want to continue the trend we started against Hartberg and Rapid on Saturday against Klagenfurt. Unfortunately, we have not been able to show our fans too often so far this season what we are capable of and what we expect from ourselves. That makes it even more important that we finish the year by taking three points in Salzburg. We want to show from the start that there is no way past us. We will have to make a determined start for that on Saturday, grab hold of the play and force the opponents into making mistakes.
