OGC Nice: Aliou Baldé joins FC St. Gallen on loan
Aliou Baldé is heading to eastern Switzerland. OGC Nice officially announced on Monday, July 21, 2025, the temporary departure of their Guinean international forward to FC St. Gallen, a Swiss Super League side, as part of a loan deal with a purchase option.
The 22-year-old Guinean striker will not remain at Nice. He embarks on another loan spell and returns to Switzerland. Having just come back from his stint at FC Lausanne-Sport, Aliou Baldé is once again on his way to the Swiss Super League, this time on loan to FC St. Gallen for the 2025-2026 campaign. The move is designed to give him more playing time, as he has struggled to find his place with Les Aiglons since arriving in 2023.
"Loaned out to German club Bochum and then to Lausanne last season, Aliou Baldé will once again compete in Switzerland for the 2025-2026 campaign. The Guinean international striker is heading to St. Gallen, a Swiss Super League side, where he joins on loan with an option to buy," announced the Nice club.
